COVID-19 Update

The coronavirus crisis has left many critical youth services in danger and has affected so many young people. Many young people have been worrying about finances ,discrimination, poverty and education. However the most worrying is the affect Covid-19 has had on youth mental health are not so encouraging. 35% of young people in England have experienced mental health issues due to Covid-19. We are still supporting more young people than ever through music sessions, online mental health workshops, food distribution, mental health support and referral to services and exercise and sport.

We are currently following government guidelines. This means that all upcoming events will be encourage social distancing and temperatures will be taken before arrival. As well as that we are encourage all attendees to wear a face covering. Hand gel and mask will be provided upon entry.
If are experiencing any of the following

A high temperature - this means that you feel hot to touch on your chest or back

A new, continuous cough- this means coughing a lot for more than an hour, or 3 or more coughing episodes in 24 hours (if you usually have a cough, it may be worse than usual)

A loss or change to you sense of smell or taste- this means you've noticed you cannot smell or taste anything, or things smell or taste different to normal

You must get tested to check if you have COVID-19 and you must stay home until you get your results. Call NHS 111 if you symptoms get worse and you do not get better are 7 days. If your results come back positive please do not attend any SEBENE PROJECT events and you MUST follow government guidelines and self isolate for 10 days.
