The Sebene project is fighting knife crime and gang violence by empowering young ethnic minorities about their identity, cultural heritage, mental health and wellbeing. We aim to help young people create a positive outlook of community through discussion, culture and music, giving a different narrative to a negative perception of being a young ethnic minor. We aim to help young ethnic minorities gain confidence, self-esteem, peer interaction, communication, encourage teamwork and learn transferrable skills​. We believe the skills we help them achieve will benefit them in many aspects in the future.
